Friday night's practice session Cancelled > 23rd August 2013
Friday night's practice session was brought to a halt before it started by adverse weather conditions.
Shortly after 5.00pm, with many bikes still waiting to clear scrutineering, it was announced to the paddock area the session would not go ahead.
Intermittent showers throughout the afternoon had caused concern and, with the Meteorological Office predicting 'further outbreaks of rain, which may turn heavy at times and with occasional hill mist' it was decided the conditions were too unfavourable.
Shortly after the announcement was made, and with machines still being wheeled back to the awnings, a further heavy shower soaked the grandstand area.
