Ian Hutchinson joins guest list for Adelaide Motorcycle Festival
Yorkshire’s Ian Hutchinson is the latest star name to be confirmed for this weekend’s Adelaide Black Horse Motorcycle Festival at the King’s Hall Pavilion in Belfast.
Hutchinson, who will ride for Paul Bird’s Kawasaki team this year at the international road races after a disappointing season in the Milwaukee Yamaha colours in 2014, joins fellow PBM rider and British Superbike contender Stuart Easton at the show, which begins a three-day run on Friday.
Hutchinson will be in attendance on Saturday and Sunday and is part of an impressive guest list that also includes new Milwaukee Yamaha rider Michael Dunlop plus Tyco BMW’s Alastair Seeley, who has switched to the Pirelli National Superstock 1000 Championship in 2015.
Bradford’s Dean Harrison will also make the trip to attend the festival, which has been organised for the past 20 years by Billy Nutt of Nutt Promotions in Coleraine.
Rising British Supersport star Glenn Irwin, who is among the favourites for the title this season on the Gearlink Kawasaki, plus Honda Racing’s Conor Cummins and new British Superbike recruit Jack Kennedy will also be on hand at the show to meet fans and sign autographs.
The riders will be quizzed on their hopes and expectations for the news season on stage by Eurosport presenter Matt Roberts.
One of the highlights of the festival will be a special display of Suzuki RG500 Grand Prix racing machines, which is sure to prove a huge attraction over the weekend.
All the major manufacturers are represented and Yamaha’s all-new R1-M and R1 machines will be on display along with BMW’s updated S1000RR.
Students from schools, colleges and universities will be able to gain free entry at the special time of 12 noon on Friday and will also be granted free admission on Saturday and Sunday when accompanied by an adult, who will receive half-price admission.
The festival opening hours are: 2pm-10pm on Friday and 10am-5pm on Saturday and Sunday.
